After spending 16 years in the manufacturing industry, Jack decided to change his life forever.  “Helping people help themselves” was his motto.  In getting his real estate license in 1978 he found that he has enjoyed the process of helping and counseling people in buying and selling real estate for their own personal enjoyment.  In doing so he earned many accomplishments which included 100% Club, Platinum Club, Re/Max Hall of Fame and was honored to be positioned in the top 10 in the state of Minnesota.  With these honors he also earned the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designations.  Together Jack and wife Diane have closed well over 3000 successful transactions in their 30+ years of service.   Recently Jack began his own Broker/Owner company, the JD Carlson Real Estate Group servicing the same areas in and around the Twin Cities, the suburbs within the Northwest Quadrant; Maple Grove where he and his wife Diane reside, Plymouth, Minnetonka, and Eden Prairie.  With technology as it, is they have found their parameters have expanded and it isn’t necessary any longer to be a one area team. 

In growing up in the White Fish Chain of Lakes area in Central Minnesota, a little town called Pine River, North of Brainerd, Jack soon found out it was a sought after area much like Lake Minnetonka is in the Twin Cities.  Jack and Diane have a cabin on Daggett Lake near Crosslake and have found wonderful opportunities to share with people the beautiful area and have helped them find properties to retire to or just have a great get away place to bring their families. 

Jack and Diane have an extended family of 5 adult children and 6 grandchildren all living in close-by suburbs; Champlin, Rogers, Maple Grove, Minnetrista and Eden Prairie.  The highlight of their relaxation time is with their family at the cabin boating, fishing, tubing, telling stories around the campfire and grilling out.
